Google Code Search: It's No Krugle
Google Code Search much like Krugle and Koders allows you to search source code both in webpages and in compressed formats. It grew out of Googler's internal use and is now a part of Google Labs. Keyword searches and regular expressions are supported currently. You can even add your own code to Google's index.
After doing a few searches, I found Google Code Search to be in line with the traditional Google search interface. Functional and simple, but therein lies the problem. As I reviewed earlier, Krugle's search interface is much more sophisticated, incorporating "sub-tabbed" browsing and tree navigation of source code, which makes code a lot easier to read and interpret. Google does have one interesting feature: it indicates how many identical files are in its database, allowing you to see how widespread a piece of code is.
